About Tanner Little

I am a public relations/image management student at San Jose State University with an emphasis in new media.

I got to San Jose after attending Butte College in Chico, Calif. and completing a semester at that school while still attending high school. I initially started out majoring in computer engineering while focusing on media.

I am a gold medal winner at SkillsUSA California State Conference for TV (Video) Production in San Diego. That lead me to become a national competitor at the SkillsUSA National Skills and Leadership Conference 2016 in Louisville, Ky..

Now that I am graduating from San Jose State with a bachelor's of applied sciences in public relations and image management, I intend to get a job close to my experience in public relations, social media marketing, and image management.

BATEMAN COMPETITION: BRIDGING RESPECT

The Bateman Competition is an annual case study competition put on by and for the Public Relations Student Society of America. Our team was one of 50 national entrants. Previous clients include the US Census, Student Veterans of America, and The PRSA Foundation. In 2020 and 2021 the objective is to build a platform to promote civil discourse nationwide. Hence the campaign "Bridging Respect."

HEARST AWARD PRESENTED TO DR. ANTHONY FAUCI

The San Jose State University Hearst Award is an annual tradition that is a special honor for outstanding professional media service in journalism. In 2020 the award was presented to Dr. Anthony Fauci over Zoom. A combination of live and pre-edited segments led to a fantastic award show that got Dr. Fauci to tear up even. My role was as a producer/director/editor on all the pre-edited content.

David Mirisch - The Man Behind the Golde

DOCUMENTARY: THE MAN BEHIND THE GOLDEN STARS

A documentary about the life of revered press agent David Mirisch (known as “The Man with the Gold Rolodex”) will soon be entering the film festival circuit. The documentary is entitled “David Mirisch, The Man Behind the Golden Stars,” directed by Marcela Mariz, and is a co-production between Monarca Group (Anselmo Martini) and Shorebird Productions (Marcela Mariz). As a campaign manager I have helped the team get this film into multiple festivals, get a number of press appearances and grow a social media presence.

CASE ANALYSIS: PG&E PLEADS GUILTY TO MANSLAUGHTER

Case analyses and studies are an integral part in any PR professional's pocket. One case study that I am particularly proud of is the issue of PG&E pleading guilty to manslaughter of 85 civilians following the 2018 Camp Fire in Butte County, California. This case study tracks PG&E's response to the fire as a whole and the blame they hold from beginning to end.
